Set
1990 Topps
1 card in the JW50
Home of the era's single most valuable printing error.
The 1990 Topps set is the most-produced Topps release in history, and yet it houses the era's rarest sanctioned error, the Frank Thomas #414 No Name on Front. A short early press run went out without Thomas's nameplate lettering; Topps corrected within weeks. Fewer than 100 PSA 10 NNOFs exist; the corrected version is a two-dollar card. That paradox is the whole story of junk wax.
