Why it matters

Pro Set's 1990 Football included the Lombardi Trophy hologram card, distributed as an in-pack chase at similar rarity to the Marvel MH holograms. Alongside the Cosmic Spider-Man MH5, the Lombardi hologram taught the sports-card industry the same lesson: put one physically-distinct card in the pack and collectors will pay for the privilege of chasing it. The most valuable Pro Set card of the era by a factor of 100.
