1990 Leaf Baseball Series 1 was the premium alternative to Donruss flagship (both were produced by the same parent) with cleaner design, gray cardstock, and higher retail pricing. It contains the Frank Thomas rookie at #300 (one of the era's most-collected first-baseman rookies), Sammy Sosa rookie, Jeff Bagwell rookie, and Larry Walker rookie. Sealed Leaf Series 1 wax is cheap by absolute value because print runs turned out to be much larger than initially advertised, but the rookie density holds the box-break math up.
