Why it matters

The first meaningful serial-numbered on-card autograph in mainstream trading cards. Reggie hand-signed 2,500 copies for random pack insertion across the 1990 Upper Deck High Series product. Every autograph card the hobby has produced in the thirty-five years since descends from this one. How to identify

Card labeled AU1 in the 1990 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes subset. On-card blue-ink signature, hand-numbered to 2500 on the back. Confirm the AU1 designation and the hand-numbering.
