Montana at #293 in the 1990 Series 1 base set is the flagship Montana in Pro Set's run. The card trades for $1 to $2 raw because Pro Set was massively overproduced (the running joke is that Pro Set printed more cards than the Air Force printed dollar bills). Its value is cultural, not financial.

Base #293 is canonical. Montana also appears in the 1990 Pro Set on the #2 Super Bowl MVP subset card and the #8 Passing Leader subset card. All three are common.
